LaMeia Reddick is an inter-disciplinary artist and creative who uses storytelling to inspire leadership and collaboration within the community. During the “Strengthening Youth Connections’’ session, participants will hear LaMeia share a story about a transformative moment that set her on her path towards youth development. She will hold space for participants to explore key themes and best practices for building genuine connections with youth.
LaMeia Reddick is an interdisciplinary artist, designer, and visionary leader from Preston township, the largest and oldest settlement of Indigenous Black African Canadians. LaMeia has developed a rich portfolio of dynamic projects and impactful work. Bringing people together and connecting diverse communities has been the foundation of LaMeia's career as a social entrepreneur and community engagement consultant. LaMeia identified a need to carve out a unique path to success and has played a vital role in creating innovative programs such as the North Preston Surf Program, Groundwork: Artist-in-Residency at Wonder'neath Art Society, and Blxck House Life Studio Project.
